Shawmut would like to congratulate Inakaya on opening their inaugural New York location of their traditional Japanese Robatayaki (Robata for short) restaurant. What is Robatayaki you ask? Well it’s Japanese barbecue cooked in front of customers on the robata (a Japanese grill) and served directly, accompanied by Japanese chefs yelling and interacting with the patrons and staff alike. Quiet dining is not this place.
The amazing space is aproximately 3,000 square feet with highlights including sleek light and dark walnut millwork throughout as well as imported Japanese rice paper wall coverings.
